The first mark that I make on a canvas begins an exploration that will take me to a new place. It's usually a surprise to reach the completion of a painting but sometimes it's a homecoming. It may take hours or years for a painting to reach the completion of its journey.

My university art degree and years of experience in graphic design along with continuing study have given me a freedom of expression in my art that makes painting a joy for me.   

 

I have exhibited and won awards in the Washington DC area at Strathmore Arts Center, Art League of Alexandria, Glenview Mansion, Montpelier Arts Center, and Gallery Underground among others.
